Robertson Park playground is getting a big upgrade

The fences are up at Robertson Park — it's closed for a full reno with new slides, trampolines, monkey bars and a harbour-view tower. Back in time for summer holidays, apparently. In the meantime, Lyne Park in Rose Bay is the closest alternative, or duck into Watsons Bay Library for Story Time while you're in the area.

Doyle's on the Beach is doing a $56.50 set menu through winter, Monday to Friday. Works at both the restaurant and the Garden Bar. Good excuse to finally make the trip out.

Watsons Bay market is back in June

The Watsons Bay Autumn Market is on at Robertson Park on Sunday 8 June, 9am to 3pm. Over 150 stalls, free entry, and an easy excuse to take the ferry over. Hard to think of a better Sunday.

Asian pop-up just opened at Watsons Bay Hotel

Missy K has taken over the Sunset Room for winter — handmade dumplings, share plates, harbour views. Open Wed to Sat from 5:30pm, with a bottomless lunch situation on Saturdays if that's your thing. Good excuse to finally make it out there.

Zesti in Watsons Bay is doing 50% off frozen yoghurt and açaí bowls every Thursday from 3 to 5pm. Honestly not a bad way to spend a Thursday afternoon with the kids before the weekend chaos kicks in.

Tea ceremonies starting up at Loja Watsons Bay

Naru Studios is running tea ceremonies at Loja, with morning and evening sessions through the week. Tickets go on sale tomorrow. Nice one for a slow weekday morning if you're after something calming.

Watsons Bay has a dumpling pop-up this winter

The Sunset Room at Watsons Bay is doing an Asian fusion pop-up called Missy K from 4 June, Thursday to Saturday from 5:30pm. Handmade dumplings, share plates, cocktails, harbour views. Bottomless bookings on Saturdays if you need an excuse to stay too long.

Watsons Bay Autumn Market is on this Sunday

The Autumn Market is back at Robertson Park this Sunday 31st May, right on the harbour. Over 150 stalls, street food, live music and kids' rides. Good excuse to make a morning of it.

Tea ceremonies at Loja are back on for May

Bookings are open for May tea ceremonies at Loja on Military Rd. Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm, or Saturday mornings at 8am if you're an early riser.
